Oxy® Proxy Extension for Chrome

See how to use Enterprise Dedicated Datacenter Proxies with the Oxy® Proxy Extension for Chrome.

Oxy® Proxy Extensionarrow-up-right is a proxy management extension for Chrome. It's free and works with any proxy provider of your choice.​

This quick guide shows how to integrate Oxylabs Enterprise Dedicated Datacenter Proxiesarrow-up-right.

Setup

Downloadarrow-up-right and click the extension icon to open the application.

Click the +Add new proxy button.

A new tab will open up where you can set up your proxy profile.

Fill in the details as follows:

Name

Project name

Protocol

HTTP

Domain

1.2.3.4 (example)

Port

60000

Username

USERNAME

Password

PASSWORD

Click Save changes.

Open the extension as shown in the first step and click Connect.

That's it. You're now using Enterprise Dedicated Datacenter Proxies.

Using whitelisted IPs

If you're using whitelisted IP addresses, you'll need to use port 65432. Additionally, you don't need to use username and password for authentication:

After saving the changes, open the extension window and connect to the newly created proxy.

Global bypass list

If you don't want to use proxies when accessing specific websites, you can add them to the bypass list. Open the extension, click Manage proxies, and then open the Global Bypass List.

For example, if you want to skip using proxies for https://ip.oxylabs.io/, you should enter the address like this: https://ip.oxylabs.io or ip.oxylabs.io. Once you visit this site, you should see your regular IP address instead of a proxy IP.

Common errors

Use the troubleshooting steps outlined below to fix common extension errors when using Oxylabs or other providers' proxies.

Try disconnecting and re-connecting your proxies in the extension. If the issue persists, move on to the next step below.

Verify the proxy username and password you've entered are correct and match the credentials assigned by your proxy provider.

For Oxylabs Enterprise Dedicated Datacenter Proxies, ensure you're using the proxy user's username and password you've received from your Account Manager or our Support Team.

Make sure you're using a valid proxy domain and port number as assigned by your proxy provider.

Verify you've entered a proxy port that isn't out of range. For Oxylabs Enterprise Dedicated Datacenter Proxies, visit the dashboard to view your proxy listsarrow-up-right with valid ports.

If the extension is not working for some reason, try uninstalling and re-installing it through the Chrome web storearrow-up-right or browser settings.

Turn off a third-party Virtual Private Network (VPN) if you're using it. It may conflict with the Oxy® Proxy Extension.
