MacOS is the computer operating system (OS) for Apple desktops and laptops.
Check this guide to see how to configure Residential proxies for MacOS.
Step 1. Click on the Apple icon in the top left corner and open System Preferences.
Step 2. After opening System Preferences, select the Network panel icon.
Step 3. Choose the Wi-Fi network you want to configure and click Advanced in the bottom-right corner.
Step 4. Click on the Proxies tab and then select Web Proxy (HTTP).
Step 5. Under Web Proxy Server, input your proxy details:
Proxy host: pr.oxylabs.io
Proxy port: 7777
You can also use random or sticky country-specific entries. For example, if you enter us-pr.oxylabs.io
under Proxy host and 10000
under Proxy port, you’ll acquire a US exit node. If you enter 10001
under Proxy port, you’ll receive the US exit node with a sticky session. You can find a complete list of country-specific random proxy entry nodes here and a list of sticky proxy entry nodes - here.
Step 7. Check the Proxy server requires a password box and type in your Oxylabs proxy user credentials:
Username: Oxylabs proxy user username
Password: Oxylabs proxy user password
You can create and manage your proxy users in our dashboard.
After everything is set up, click OK to confirm and Apply to activate the settings.
This is it, you’re using a proxy now.
