iOS is a mobile operating system developed by Apple for iPhone and iPad devices.
Follow this guide to set up your ISP Proxies on iOS.
NOTE: iOS only allows using an HTTP
proxy on Wi-Fi network connections. So, you won't be able to set up HTTPS
or SOCKS5
proxies and use proxies over your cellular network.
The following screenshots were taken using iOS 16.1.
Step 1. Open iPhone Settings.
Step 2. Select Wi-Fi.
Step 3. Click the blue info icon next to the Wi-Fi network you’re currently connected to (a connection is indicated by a blue checkmark.)
Step 4. Out of the three options, select the Manual configuration.
Step 5. Enter your proxy server details and credentials:
Server: isp.oxylabs.io
Port: 8001
Authentication: on
You will need to choose the port assigned to an IP address from the purchased proxy list, which you can find on Oxylabs' dashboard. The 8001
port will pick the first IP address from your list for all requests.
Username: user-username
Password: password
Don't forget to add the user-
part to your username.
if you’re using a whitelisted IP, keep Authentication toggled off. Otherwise, turn Authentication on for the Username and Password fields to appear. There, enter your Oxylabs user credentials – these are the same credentials you typed in while creating a new sub-user in the Oxylabs dashboard.
Step 6. On the upper-right corner, click Save.
If you want to disable the proxy, simply click Off and then Save again.
That's it! You're now using ISP Proxies on iOS. You can find the original integration post on the Oxylabs website.
