# Managing your subscription
Managing an active subscription includes canceling, updating payment details, and handling a failed payment, all covered here.
### Managing payment methods
Payment methods are managed through your payment provider's secure checkout, not stored directly by Oxylabs.
1. Go to **Billing & Spending**.
2. Select **Manage subscription** to open your billing portal.
3. Add, update, or remove your payment details.
Card, PayPal, Google Pay, and Apple Pay payments are processed via Stripe. Alipay is processed via Cleverbridge. Oxylabs never stores your raw card details.
### Cancelling your subscription
Cancel at any time from **Billing & Spending → Cancel subscription**.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You keep full access and your remaining balance until then. Unused balance at the end of your final cycle expires, with no refund. Reactivating later requires a new plan. Your instances and configuration are preserved, though IP-based products may be assigned different IPs.
### What happens if a recurring payment fails
A failed charge of the plan triggers a 7-day grace period rather than immediate suspension. Service stays active, and usage keeps drawing down your remaining balance, capped at 25% of what was left when the grace period started. You can upgrade during this window, but not top up. Payment is retried automatically.
Suspension happens the moment either the grace period ends without payment or your balance hits $0, whichever comes first. IP-based products keep their IPs through the grace period and release them back to the pool only if it expires unpaid. Either way, your configuration is preserved.
