How can I whitelist IPs?

This guide walks you through whitelisting IP addresses via Oxylabs Dashboard. In the dashboard itself, this feature is labeled Allowlist, it's the same thing, just a different name.

IP whitelisting is available for Residential Proxies, Mobile Proxies, Datacenter Proxies, and ISP Proxies. You can add IP addresses when setting up a new instance, or update them later in the instance settings.

To whitelist IPs through the dashboard, go to All Products, then select the instance you want to edit: your instance → Configuration → Authentication. Find more details in our documentation.

You can also get there faster: go to your instance and click Allowlisted IPs. This opens a window where you can edit and save your allowlist.

For Dedicated Datacenter Proxies, you can also whitelist IPs by sending requests to our endpoints via RESTful. Visit this RESTful page in our documentation to find out more.

When whitelisting an IP, provide up to 10 addresses in IPv4 format (xx.xx.xx.xx). Make sure each one is exclusively yours, not a proxy or VPN service.

Currently, the SOCKS5 protocol doesn't support whitelisted IPs, except for Enterprise Dedicated Datacenter Proxies, where customers can request IP whitelisting. If you want to whitelist IPs when using Proxy Rotator or SOCKS5, contact your Account Manager or our Customer Support. They'll add your IPs to firewall exception rules.

For users of services like Amazon Web Services (AWS), we strongly recommend using username and password authentication instead of relying only on IP whitelisting.
