Configure Oxylabs Dedicated ISP Proxies on macOS - set system or app-level proxies for secure anonymous browsing, identity management and multi-account use.
MacOS is the computer operating system (OS) for Apple desktops and laptops.
Follow this guide to see how to configure macOS with Oxylabs Dedicated ISP Proxies purchased via self-service.
Step 1. Click on the Apple icon in the top left corner and open System Preferences.

Step 2. After opening System Preferences, select the Network panel icon.

Step 3. Choose the Wi-Fi network you want to configure and click Advanced in the bottom-right corner.

Step 4. Click on the Proxies tab and then select the protocol to use:
Web Proxy (HTTP)Secure Web Proxy (HTTPS)SOCKS Proxy

Step 5. Under server settings, input your proxy details:
Proxy host: disp.oxylabs.io
Proxy port: 8001
You will need to choose the port assigned to an IP address from the purchased proxy list, which you can find on the Oxylabs dashboard. The 8001 port will pick the first IP address from your list for all requests.
Use port 8000 for automatic proxy IP rotation.

Step 7. Check the Proxy server requires a password box and type in your Oxylabs proxy user credentials:
Username: user-USERNAME
Password: PASSWORD
Don't forget to add the user- part to your username.

After everything is set up, click OK to confirm and Apply to activate the settings.
This is it, you’re using a proxy now.
